Embark on a Flavorful Journey with Singalicious BBQ Buffet at The Orchard Cafe! 🇸🇬🤤 Up to 58% Off 2nd Diner!

ABBEY: As we celebrate Singapore National Day, we headed down to Orchard Cafe at Orchard Hotel where a Singalicious buffet awaits us.

So much of local foods to indulge. I had multiple servings of pork and chicken satays, roasted pork and beef, shrimp, steamed chicken, tandoori chicken, briyani rice, carrot cake, kueh pie tees, ondeh ondeh cake and durian pengat. It was a feast of flavors; savory, sweet, salty, and spicy. I kept coming back for more.

WILL: Orcard Cafe is in Orchard Hotel. Obviously right? Haha! Every month of August most of restaurants here in Singapore is offering the local cuisines, and well that is our cue to indulge endlessly with Singapore delightful food!

I specifically chose Orchard Cafe to indulge with their famous Durian Penget. And every table, you will definitely see not only one but more than 2 penget per person. The chef keeps on refilling the station of this delectable dessert.

Next food to tick off is Chili Crab with fried Mantou. Again, it ia delicious but it is a bit messy for me to eat. I indulged too with their pork satay partnered with rice and washed it fown with a hot tea.

This is definitely worth it. They are continuously giving promotions for every second diner, so just watch out for their next dining deals!

BEST All You Can Eat Dinner Buffet in Manila Philippines - Spiral Buffet Review

ABBEY: The first time we went to Spiral Buffet I admit I don’t know much about other cuisines. And I’m not keen on exploring.
I stick to what I know and I assume what’s delicious; Filipino foods like sinigang, mechado, pork belly, tempura or anything fried. I felt during that time that it’s worth for what I paid for. Little did I know that there’s a big food world out there.

So we prepared for a second visit; this time armed with Php3900 and knowledge about what to eat and try at the restaurant.
I had lamb, sausages, curacha, sashimi, grilled squid, prawns, dumplings, roast beef, and butter chicken. I even curated my own charcuterie board with aged cheddar, salami, gouda pesto cheese. Our dessert is choco and vanilla ice cream, bibingka and puto bumbong.

Now I can say that I redeemed myself “against” Spiral Buffet. No tables were unturned. Haha.

LEGENDARY All You Can Eat Buffet in Manila Philippines - Spiral Buffet Review

WILL: We had our first lunch buffet in Spiral last 2010. That is the first time I experienced food coma, haha! But there’s unsatisfied moment when Abbey realized that we didn’t ate the food we should have eaten. So we are coming for dinner for our BUFFET REVENGE!

Once the food counters opened, I immediately went to their cheese room and requested aged cheese as my appetizer. Then went to live station for lobster and curacha. For my second serving, I went for sausages and dumplings. Then back to lobster and curacha again. Next is the salmon and tuna and some pizza cheese slices. Then cheese room again for some blue cheese. Lastly, puto bumbong, ice cream and bibingka sealed my night.

That “revenge” cost Php3,900/pax. Is it worth it? Definitely! The seafood is guaranteed fresh! How do I know? Abbey will flare up once the fish and crustaceans are not fresh. He didn’t! So, that is the price of the food with quality!

Largest Outdoor Eat All You Can Seafood with Charcoal BBQ - The Three Peacocks Review

ABBEY: We booked with Three Peacocks not once, not twice but three times. The first two were canceled due to various reasons but we will not let the third one pass us by. Technically this is the fourth as the original schedule was on a Saturday but moved to Sunday.

There’s a free shuttle service to and from Labrador Park MRT but we chose to walk going to the restaurant. Upon entrance you’ll be paying for the buffet which cost almost 150SGD for two persons. Don’t fret. You’ll get half a lobster, clams, shrimps, beef, pork, and chicken. Have them sizzle in charcoal grill and cooked to your preference.

They also have maki, calamari, takoyaki, and deep fried prawn. Additionally, you can also get pizza, tacos, burger and salmon and squid teppanyaki. I indulged in the grilled beef. It has great marbling, tender and milky taste.

The pork and beef skewers are also a great choice and give you easier to grill. I finished with two servings of chocolate popsicles which creamy and very chocolatey. Definitely my cravings for charcoal grill is satisfied.

WILL: Abbey… whew… Abbey is missing barbecued food on CHARCOAL! He is missing the “char” and gladly to say that The Three Peacocks offers this kind of bbq.

What are the hits not to be missed in this buffet? Of course the seafoods! A buffet will give you one time half lobster topped sauce of your choice, blue leg prawn, crab and the pretty perfect marbled beef steak. They also fried foods like takoyaki, fries, and solf shell crab. Pizza, teppanyaki and tacos is served too.

What are the cons? Hot surroundings(of course) and be careful if you have a weak lungs, you’ll be inhaling smokes. Haha.

This restaurant is beside the Labrador Park and they offer a free shuttle ride from Labrador MRT station. The Three Peacocks is recommended to try but I will not be your usual patron.

Melt Café Dinner Crustacean and BBQ Buffet at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore FREE S$98++ BUFFET Review

ABBEY: We have our plans laid out for my natal day. But Melt Cafe (Mandarin Oriental) sent me a mail with greetings and a gift; 1 for 1 dining for lunch or dinner. So I said let’s go. Good decision! It’s raining lobsters there. A seafood platter (lobster, prawns, mussels) will be served upon your sitting. That’s just the beginning. Move over allergies. I even ordered a plate of lobsters only and make my own lobster roll with fried mantou, butter and garlic. Hahaha.
I went multiple times to the grill station for beef, scallops and oysters to satisfy my char cravings. Then I moved to the hot foods like chicken and vegatable tandoori with basmati rice and braised pork. For dessert, I love the combination of vanilla and chocolate ice creams; and also a plateful of watermelon. I brought home my complimentary birthday cake. There’s no room for it. Haha.

WILL: Abbey was blessed by The Dining Society on his birthday month. He teceived an email that he get a FREE buffet of his choice (lunch or dinner) at Melt Cafe located at Mandarin Oriental Singapore.

We already had a dinner buffet at Melt Cafe but the difference for this is that now it is a crustaceans like lobsters are free flow + there’s a barbecue just outside the cafe. Of course I enjoyed the meal than before. You can definitely know that lobster and other seafoods are fresh because it doesn’t leave any unappetizing taste in your mouth. Because of COVID-19 there are people behind the counters to hand you the food. They are very attentive and surprisingly quite cheerful in giving your plate of food. It is a happy and tummy-filling day not only for the birthday boy but also for me. Hehe.

Thanks Melt Cafe and The Dining Society for making my husband’s birthday extraordinary!

Suki-ya | Japanese Hot Pot @ Marina Square

ABBEY: Chan and Ice dropped by here in Singapore when they had vacation in Philippines. We had dinner at Suki-Ya (eat-all-you-can sukiyaki and shabu-shabu) at Marina Square. We got two soup bases: shabu-shabu and sukiyaki).

Along with it is an endless serving of thin slices of beef and pork. We really enjoyed cooking them as well as other items like noodles, mushrooms, vegetables, pork and chicken balls with cheese. The soups are not overpowering; not too sweet nor salty.

Nice time to catch up.

WILL: We have visitors from down under and I am sorry to say that I decided where to eat haha! Because I am missing hotpot, we’ve done a reservation on suki-ya (Marina Square) through eatigo.

Suki-ya will only give 80-minutes to indulge with their offerings. Starving that time and I want to do is put someting in my tummy haha. After few minutes, I started to hook on conversation with Aiz, TianTian and Mama. Donya Buding is not in the mood to talk to us. Hahaha!

So what’s great with the choices of food? You will definitely fall in love with the fish balls with oozing cheese. Finely sliced pork is great too! Yes! The balls is surely a hit for me. :)

The Carvery Premium Meat Buffet at Park Hotel Alexandra

ABBEY: This year The Carvery (Park Hotel Alexandra) is offering Spanish-themed dishes from 4th December until 1st January the following year.

It boasts of their US Black Angus Prime Rib, spit-roasted chicken wih orange and rosemary and pork belly porchetta. December 9 came and we tried it. Oh yes. The meats are succulent. I got a chat with the chef and told me that the chicken is the hardest one to make. But definitely the best in flavor. I ate them without any sauce. The fats and the juices will make you go for more. Partner it with red wine and it’s a feast.

They also have salads, soups, mushrooms, beef stew, pork chorizos, and salmon. Four of us dined in but we paid for 3 pax only :)

WILL: The best way to catch up with friends is through food and to break the usual buffet dinner, we went for The Carvery at Park Hotel Alexandra.

What's the difference with others? By its name, they specialiazed with grilled meat. Yey! They have lamb, chicken, and the crispy pork? Wowoweee! The crispy skin and melts-in-your-mouth fats.. Oh my body, please forgive me as I have committed a sin for that night. Haha. The grilled meat is perfect to be partnered with a wine so we ordered a bottle and it helped to push the meat in our tummies. Haha.

Next on my fave list is their salmon. The white sauce is thick enough to amplify the taste of natural oils of salmon. Next, pork chorizo. Do you know how expensive the chorizo in Singapore? I indulged on it haha! They have variety of cheese too.

Pizza was cooked with old-fashioned fire oven. It gives a natural scent of burn. Yum!

For desserts, sad to say there is no ice cream. Log cakes are there to fill-up your sugar needs.

The place is quite private and romantic. The lighting creates a romantic feel too. I am not surprised many couples are dining at The Carvery.

One more thing. Citibank have a promotion: 50% off on second guest. We were all shocked to know that we saved a lot that time.

Thanks The Carvery. Thanks Citibank.

Good Old Days Sentosa - $20 Local Food Buffet Dinner

ABBEY: We got good news in the past month so we want to share it with our close friends in Singapore. But only Chat was available that time. We went to Good Old Days Sentosa (Beach Station).

For a 20SGD budget per person you can have a buffet of local dishes. They serve laska, bee hon, seafood tofu, fish fillet, chicken and desserts like fruits and cake.

There is not much variety of food but we enjoyed the taste of local food and also catching up with our stories. We even made our version of Yong Tau Foo with curry.

This really gave us time to reminisce the “good old days” as well as the bright future ahead.

WILL: We received a miracle. A huge one! And of course we need to share with our friend here in Singapore. Abbey, I and Chat roamed around at Sentosa and ate dinner at Good Old Days.

This is one of the cheapest eat-all-you can in Singapore. It serves not more than 12 local dishes that time. Not too much variety to choose from. Even on their drinks, they only offer orange juice and water.

I am quite happy because of their smooth and creamy mini chocolate cake. The "DIY laksa" is not that good. Frustrated in a sense but I am not there to be sad. We are there to celebrate, so I indulge on their sweet watermelon and sliced oranges.

For me, $20+ is a ripped off. I saw a dismayed face with my friend so I invited Abbey and Chat to get some coffee in Starbucks near at Universal Studios.

Food Capital at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel

ABBEY: We had dinner with our guests from Pinas at Food Capital @ Grand Copthorne Hotel. The buffet setup is circular. You can check the food items in one fluid circular motion.

What caught my attention is their carving station. The beef and lamb is soft, tender and moist. I put gravy on each bite. Next is laksa. I was craving for it and didn't get disappointed with the bowl I got. Then I had some chicken tandoori, sushi and chicken lasagna. The beef stew literally melted in mouth. No chewing needed. :)

To wash them down, I had coffee. We availed EATIGO's 50% reservation service and the price went down to S$37++ (UP S$74++).

WILL: Grand Copthorne at Clarke Quay announced its opening of newly renovated restaurant... the Food Capital. While browsing EATIGO, I am on my luck that Food Capital is on their list of 50% discount. I booked and an instant confirmation sent to my email and I received an SMS too.

We were greeted delightfully by the concierge and guided us to our table. And from the video, it  doesn't have too many selection BUT the viands are incredibly savory.

What I love the most is their fresh oyster. Yeah! Yeah! Every hotel buffet has it, but Grand Copthorne Hotel's Food Capital has the meatiest and oyster I have tasted. Hmmmm, other hotels, you should check out who is their supplier. Haha! Their laksa is remarkable too. Chocolate fountain is available for kids to enjoy. Coffee and tea is there to help you digest your first round meal. Haha! Do not skip their desserts, specially the eclair.

You can have a seat beside the window for you to enjoy the sight of Singapore River.

Enjoy the discounted buffet!

Mandarin Oriental Singapore's - MELT CAFÉ (Dinner Buffet)

ABBEY: I read that Melt Café offers one of the best buffet in Singapore and I want to try it. Wilma booked a reservation for three (Wilma, and the two November birthday celebrators; me and Chat) and went to Mandarin Oriental last December 5.

We were ushered to a table and we waited for the buffet to open. A couple of minutes later we were told that we can start.

The place was huge and homey. I didn't even know where to start taking snaps of the vast array of food. They have variety of cuisines; Japanese, Western, Indian, and local delights. I had plates of sushi and sashimi as well as tandoori (chicken and fish). I matched them with papadum, rice and naan.

Their ravioli is bursting with cheese and really goes well with red sauce with beef. I also had slices of turkey and ham and some cheese. Desserts are fantastic.

Make sure to get that slice of Melt Cafe chocolate cake before it is gone. It's pure chocolate heaven. I tried their homemade frozen yogurt, crinkles, and bon bons. Our experience is great.

Aside from a 15% off the bill, we were given a birthday cake and an excellent service by Angela. Thanks Melt Café.

WILL: We celebrate anything and everything. This makes our mind and soul to be grateful in everything we are achieving and welcoming more blessings to come. And to that, we booked Melt Cafe for 3pax, this is to share our accomplishments with out friend Chat.

Abbey's birthday/graduation and Chat's natal day is a must to celebrate for me. Those are days when Almighty decided to put this lovely souls to accompany me in this beautiful journey of life. (Kakaiyak!)

Without further words, Melt Cafe is one of the yummiest buffet we have ever went to. It is not your ordinary international buffet. There is a huge variety of food that you cannot found on other restaurants. Like what? Chocolate crinkles, ravioli, the Melt Cafe Cake (ahhm, yup you cannot find this in other place haha), lamb chop, the lobster that we indulged in non-stop and the very caring attendant of our table, Ms. Angela. Our table attendant relentlessly serving us and non-stop checking on us if we are enjoying our food. She frowns whenever there is no plate in front of us. Haha.

Ms. Angela, also recommends us to be a member of Mandarin Orientals's Dining Society. This is for us to get a huge discount on that dinner buffet that night. We got an automatic 15% off when we signed online the registration form. Her manager (I forgot the name. Sorry) welcomed us with warm "hello".

No doubt why people keep on recommending this restaurant. You have huge variety of food to indulge and a team that welcomes and made you feel that you are "home".

Thanks Melt Café. Will surely be on our top list of buffets. :)

Buffet Dinner at The Dining Room - Sheraton Towers Singapore

ABBEY: We celebrated Wilma's birthday and our 5th Wedding Anniversary in The Dining Room - Sheraton.
It was a buffet for 72SGD each. We're a bit early and we got a chance to strike some poses in their waterfalls and also see the food being prepared.

The buffet opened 15 minutes early than the specified time and I got salted egg crusted fish and roasted beef on first go. It was delicious and new to my taste. Salted eggs are new craze in Singapore.

Then I tried chicken tikka, sushi, tuna and salmon sashimi. I also got a plate of cheese and crackers as well.

I got watermelon and rocky road ice cream for dessert. The ice cream is already melted even on the container itself. I hope this can be looked at. I didn't even finish my serving as it doesn't look like an ice cream anymore.

They also have crabs and oysters but I can only take snaps on them :)

WILL: It is my birthday!!! Wohoooo!! And I planned for a dinner that will not pay so much yet Abbey and I will enjoy a romantic place with an unlimited food to devour. And on that, I booked for dinner buffet and reserved for Sheraton Towers' W.o.W promotion.

As usual we arrived early and we enjoyed the place and took some shots while people are busy in preparing the food. We looked at what buffet table offers. Well, as many told me, there is not enough selection but sometimes it is not how many, it is the taste. :)

I love their freshly baked breads that complements well with their soup. I keep coming back for their variety of cheese, sashimi, and sushi. My tummy was filled by their Mussel Glass Noodle Aglio Olio and I have no space for their slice of special birthday cake for me. :)

That dinner date is perfect! Hugs, kisses, flowers, cake and food! I love my life! Love it spending it with my Abbey.

Thanks Sheraton Towers for giving a chance in spending this special day with you.

International Buffet Dinner at Window on the Park‎ (Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre)

ABBEY: Festive season is here. And cheat days as well. Nyahahaha. At last my bestfriend spare us some of her time. We had dinner at Window on the Park at Holiday Inn.

The buffet has few choices but the food is delicious and fresh. I got a couple of plates of sashimi and sushi. I also had slices of roast beef and chicken, ham with their fried rice. It was aromatic and appetizing. Can't have even a piece of the chicken as it was mixed with shrimp paste (calling allergies).

It was a good time catching up.

WILL: Abbey and I are proud of the restaurants here in Singapore. They are very competitive and only serve the freshest and finest. That is why, if time conforms to our foreign visitors' schedule, we never failed to let them experience a sumptuous buffet.

For Abbey's bestfriend, Jenneelyn Flores, we went for Holiday Inn Orchard's Window on the Park Dinner Buffet via Groupon $40.00.

Laksa, fresh oysters, sushi, ice cream, array of desserts, beef, and ham (because it is a festive season). What do I love? On all of the food that is in there? The shrimp paste fried chicken..perfect on their fried rice. The sashimi, the fatty part of fresh salmon is awesome. All you can drink tea and coffee is available. I tried their live pasta station too, their white sauce is too milky and not so creamy.

You can see the chefs, roaming around checking on the food they are serving. You can approach them and they are friendly. ;)

Indian Buffet Dinner at Grand Empire Restaurant - Grand Imperial Hotel

ABBEY: My manager and a colleague had decided to have a career move. So as farewell, we planned for a dinner. We booked at Grand Empire at Grand Imperial Hotel. It was on the top storey where the pool also is located. It was a buffet for 19.90SGD per person from Gropoun Deal.

Vegan and non vegan choices were available. As appetizer, they serve samosa and tandoori chicken. We also had butter chicken and mutton. I ate them with naan and briyani rice. That's all I had. Got no time for others. Sodas, coffees and teas are bottomless.

Maybe for my Indian friends the food is not that good, but it satisfied my cravings for Indian food.

WILL: Up to the front, I will tell you that there is not so much varieties of food that you can choose from. But...

Yep! A big BUT haha. I enjoyed personally their crispy ladyfinger, the saffron rice, of course their spicy tandoori chicken. I love the place as it gave a relaxing mood despite my husband's big bosses were around.

This is a good place to held an event.

Dinner Buffet at Riverwalk Tandoor (20 Upper Circular Rd Branch)

ABBEY: I've been here a couple of times but this is the only time I got to write up for Riverwalk Tandoor as this is time I dined there with my wife. Others occassions are with my colleagues.

In here, I got my favorite chicken tandoor. Partner them with mint chutney or briyani rice and it is heaven. Pappadums are endless. I think I ate 5-6 bowls of it. Order a serving of freshly made butter or plain naan and dip in their chicken or mutton curry. I'm drooling while writing this. They also have menu for vegetarian and have dessert as well (wow, gulab jamun).

The restaurant is located at 20 Upper Circular Road, B1-38 The Riverwalk. Dinner buffet costs 19.90++ (Mon-Thurs) and 20.90++ (Fri-Sun). Check their site for promotions and other prices.

WILL: Abbey have been for a number of times due to official meetings. Well, if he can tag me along why not. But on those instances I cannot go with him. So on the day that he want to make a farewell to one of his colleague he chose to celebrate it in Riverwalk Tandoor.

It is just beside the MoM at Clarke Quay. It's dinner on a Monday we do not expect it to be full but all the seats were occupied around 7pm. Good thing we made a reservation.

I love the most is their Tandoori Chicken that i smothered the mint sauce and ate it with their biryani rice. I can't remember how many times I went back to buffet table for papadum. Why? Their papadum is not oily but still crunchy. I love it!
Abbey's colleague is picky in food but this restaurant made her full. It only means that Riverwalk Tandoor has delectable menu. Cheers!

The Manhattan Pizza Company Singapore - Pizza Buffet Dinner

ABBEY: Wilma and I both like pizza. Whenever budget and schedule is ok we also try restaurant buffets. So when Groupon released its deal regarding pizza buffet, we thought why we don't try both at the same time :) The Manhattan Pizza Company offers the deal. Located at Orchard Central it is accessible thru Somerset MRT.

We went at 6pm and there was no queue. Their staffs clearly and warmly explained to us the mechanics and for a top up of 2sgd you can have free flow of soda. They advised us to order a slice at a time to enjoy the pizza while it is still hot. But since I deprived myself from food the whole day I ordered Pepperoni and MP Luncheon slices. The pizza didn't got the chance to loose its warmth as I already finished them within 15 minutes. I slowed down a bit and had a slice of BBQ chicken. Each pie is full of toppings and flavorful. I also enjoyed putting Tabasco sauce in it to add spice on each bite. Next two slices were Meat Lover.

As I tried to push more pizza onto my stomach I had another Luncheon meat for my 6th slice. The last one I had is the Margherita. It has a unique taste because of the herb. I thought I can go for eighth but decided not to. Seven is enough; a perfect number. I took gulps of soda and then we headed home. Until next time.

WILL: I am always looking on their The Manhattan Pizza Company facebook page for giveaway opportunities but its always been a fail, oh darn, always defeated. And when I saw that Groupon Singapore came to a deal of $18 for an unlimited pizza, right away I asked Abbey to buy it for both of us and Vince.
That was monday and really starved ourselves nearly to death, haha. My hubby and I came to their Orchard Central branch and asked the lady behind the counter to serve also their unlimited drinks and we topped-up $2.
We were surprised that they have a not so ordinary size of pizza serve here in Singapore. I ordered the pepperoni, and for me it is the best among the other flavors.
From 6pm to 930pm, we were there munching each pizza that we can take in. Love this kind of food, haha, stomach wrecking idea!
Thanks Abbey for the treat. Mwwah!
