Value Deal Lunch Set of La Pizzeria at The Bridge & Beacon Bar | Authentic Italian Fire-Baked Pizzas

ABBEY: Achieving a milestone means a celebration! We’re very proud of Chat’s achievement. That’s why we booked a lunch date at La Pizerria at Bridge and Beacon Bar (Republic of Singapore Yacht Club).

For 32SGD each, we got a two-course meal. For starter I chose bruschetta. Oh my, they went all out with the tomatoes and basil. Aside from that we also had a complimentary bread basket which we dipped in balsamic vinegar and olive oil. My choice of main is chicken cordon bleu. It came with salad and fries.

Even though there is shortage of chicken supply, mine didn’t disappoint. It was a huge, moist chicken breast filled with ham and cheese. I enjoyed every bite. The ambiance is relaxing. You can see the marina view as well as their open-kitchen concept. Worth the long travel!

WILL: Nowadays people are always on the look for a new place not only to dine but also a place that is unusual. A place that is secluded from the buzz of a mall and quiet-peaceful place to have a catch-up. Glad that Republic of Singapore Yacht Club housed La Pizzeria. They are located at second floor and overlooking the parked yachts and calmed sea.

This kind of restaurant is pretty expensive if you are in tight budget. BUT don’t fret, they are offering a lunch deal that is really value for money! For $32, we got their free bread that is perfectly warm for balsamic vinegar and olive oil dip, bruschetta filled with cherry tomatoes and gnocchi that became sticky because of it overwhelming mozzarella cheese.

I totally recommend this place if you will be around West Cost Park. Or you can catch their free shuttle bus from Clementi Mall.

Little Caesars Singapore - America’s Third-Biggest Pizza Chain

ABBEY: Little Caesars opened in Singapore last January 2019 at Income@Raffles.

The menu is simple; 6 flavors of pizza for you to mix and match with other items like chicken wings, garlic butter breadsticks and soft drinks.

For SGD 13.5 you can have a large pizza with these flavors: Hula Hawaiian, Meat Treat, Ultimate Supreme, and Veggie.
But you can get their large pepperoni or cheese pizza for only SGD 8 and it will be “hot-n-ready”.

You can also order a slice with drink or whatever you like :)
I like the pepperoni than cheese; anyways the pepperoni pizza also has cheese.

WILL: Wait! What? There’s already a Little Caesars’ Pizza here in Singapore? Abbey immediately googled and scheduled a date on International Women’s Day.

Do you know that pizzas here in SG is pretty expensive. I am very surprised that the large pepperoni is just $7 which can serve up to 3pax. The taste? Well, I would say that the quality and quantity of the toppings weren’t compromise. The signature crumbly dough is there! Yummy! The best thing is, this is only few steps from Distri II (Republic Plaza). This will be a good and cheap alternative for every crypto companies that is holding a pizza party!

What are you waiting for? Grab the $7.99 large pizza!

Pezzo Pizza Singapore's Charcoal Dough

ABBEY : Pezzo Pizza is offering 3 unique pizza flavors on their pizza line. Each pizza is having black charcoal dough.

We bought  a slice of What the Duck, Pump'd Up Cheese, Trufflin' Truffle Mushroom. All I can say is that they are all delicious and they really standout compared to the normal flavors. Who would have thought that aside from pineapple, you can put cranberries in a pizza?

All three slices cost SGD 15.90.

WILL: Curious with black pizza black dough.. we bought the Pezzo's Charcoal Dough. This was highly recommended by Night Owl Cinematics and Abbey is restless to have a bite on it.

Damn good! The black dough is soft and yet filling. It is overloaded with cheese and toppings. Best part are the mushrooms. You can taste its freshness and firmness, not overcooked and it is a chunk, not sliced thinly unlike competitors.

Pezzo Pizza is IN! You will be happier when you you will eat this. Haha!

Yellow Cab Pizza Co. Singapore - (CityLink Mall Branch)

ABBEY: At last the looooong wait is over. Yellow Cab is opening in Singapore. Yes, it is true. The store location is at City Link Mall B1-01-02. And we got a chance to taste their food items before their formal opening (Dec 9) like a movie premiere night.

They have their signature New York's Finest, Four Seasons, and Dear Darla. Their Four Seasons is great; four pizza flavors into one. How good is that? Add few drops of Tabasco and you're in for a kick.

Also we tried their Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings. Good thing about it? No blood. :) You can eat it to the bones. Crunchy and flavorful in the outside and moist and juicy in the inside. They also serve wine, beers, soda and juice. Each serving can be shared by a couple.

Another point is for the sounds. Not too loud so you can still chat with your date, friends, or family. We'll definitely come back to Yellow Cab.

WILL: I am astounded/delighted to see a post in Filipinos in Singapore facebook group about the upcoming arrival of one of the famous pizza chain in Philippines...Yellow Cab pizza. Yes! The hippy-millennial pizza arrived at the shores of Singapore.

What is the difference? Ok, I will walk you through, haha! Yellow Cab Pizza do not rely on hot sauce to spice-up their menu, they introduced the chili oil + chili flakes that complement well with their unique flavour. Yellow Cab brings the New York style pizza in Asia, and on that, you will not see a "handle" on the edge of your pizza. Well, make your way to Charlie Chan Pasta, the not your ordinary, red/white sauced pasta. Most specially, make your way to Dear Darla!!! They are the first restaurant that I know that you do not need to pull up to get your slice, but you need to roll and wrap it together with greens (arugula and alfalfa).

More words for us to persuade you in visiting Yellow Cab Pizza? The place has a homey feeling. It has also bar that you can order your favourite alcoholic drinks.

It is just located just above the Esplanade MRT station. It is a good place for you to unwind after your busy/hectic/stressful day.

See you there! Oooh! Can't wait for the delivery service too :)

Alt (Alternative) Pizza @ Suntec Tower 4

ABBEY: Wanna have a "pugon"-baked pizza? Then head to Suntec Tower 4 (near the Fountain taxi stand).

We went there after office and had a "pizza"-ful dinner. One for one promotion is there for all their 11-inch pizzas. We got these: Bleu Haze, 400, The Hangover, Dangerous Diego, Crabby Ninja, and Alpha Lima Tango. I don't know if the last pizza name is the spelled out name of ALT Pizza.

I liked Bleu Haze and my order, Dangerous Diego. Bleu Haze is an all-veggie one; the smell of mushroom is aromatic. Its texture is tender as if your eating meat in every bite. Dangerous Diego is the typical takeout pizza but it's not. It has more flavor and taste because of chorizo.

ALT Pizza's chilli oil is a good complement with the pies; not too spicy. Be sure to finish them before they get cold.

WILL: Every time I am seeing a pizza, gluttony kicks in!  Yes, I can eat one and a half box of a 9" pizza. That is why buy one take one is a really good deal for me and Abbey. When our friend Vince asked for a meet up, I swiftly suggest ALT Pizza for us to take advantage on their September 1-for-1 promotion.

We met there around 6PM on F1 Saturday. Abbey and I ordered our 2 pizzas, Nadine ordered her 2 and Vince after arriving late (as usual) decided to go for Crabby Ninja and Alpha Lima Tango.

I want the 400° and Abbey went for Dangerous Diego. The most memorable for me is the Bleu Haze. It’s not that because Singapore was clothed with haze that time but because of the taste of the blue cheese melted together with parmesan and white sauce is tremendously unforgettable. Did I mention that this is thin crust pizza but 4 slices made me full. So we ended up wrapping home some of the slices.

Thanks ALT Pizza. You really gave new flavours on our pizza. Congrats Chef White for this cool place at Suntec 4.

Crosta Pizza Delivery - Authentic Wood Fired Pizza

ABBEY: No second thought in a buying 1 pair of pizza after Costa Pizza confirmed that we can avail of their one-for-one promotion.

We got Fano (4 cheese), Verona (folded pizza), Lucca (meat lovers), and Rome (BBQ chicken). I like the most is Lucca; pizza topped with pepperoni, ham, salami, and marinated beef aling with mozarella. Very classic indeed. Fano has a moldy taste due to blue cheese. Sorry but I'm not a fan. It is as if my pizza is spoiled.

All pizzas were cooked in wood fire so the aroma is more appetizing and good. All four pizza cost less than 50sgd.

WILL: What? You miss the aroma of bread baked in a wood-fired oven but you are too lazy to leave your beloved bed? Well, I have a very good answer on that problem, dial 629-555-05.

Crosta Pizza announced their buy one take one promotion in their fFacebook page, but I can't see the end date on that offer. When my in-laws visited us here, I sent them a private message and asked if that promo is still valid. They said it is over, but for unforseen reason or its such a blessing, they still allowed us to grab that BOGO.

We ordered Rome(B.b.q. Chicken), Verona(Folded Pizza), Lucca(Meat Lovers), and Fano(4 Cheese) for dinner. When I opened the box, the aroma escaped gladly and enticed me to finish all 4 pizzas. Haha. They served thin crust but do not be fooled. Beware! 4 slices, I felt so full already! Haha. I love the most is their 4 cheese.

Call their hotline and check their page for more upcoming promos.

Thanks Crosta Pizza for the great promotion :) next time I will try your gnocchi

Domino’s Pizza Singapore - Cheesy Crust

ABBEY: My wife cleaned our room and I know she's tired battling dust and sweeping the floor. So as a compliment for her housekeeping I ordered Domino's Pizza's latest craze; cheesy crust pizza.

It's the same delicious pizza, freshly delivered. But instead of throwing away the crust it will make you to eat the crust first. The cheese is chewy and had a smooth texture. I got a hard time handling a slice when the crust was gone. I hope Domino's will add more cheese on it :)

WILL: I am so fond of pizza. Well I know I already said it a thousand times, haha. We are very excited to learned that Domino's Singapore launched their Cheesy Crust, and the rest is history.

We ordered Basilico Chicken and Chickensaurus and top up their 1-for-1 pizza to a Cheesy Crust for additional $4.

Its not new if I will say that I love Domino's pizza but the love get stronger when I bite its new crust!

I am holding myself to ask my husband for a monthly supply of pizza haha!

Skinny Pizza Singapore / What a Crack

ABBEY: We planned a couple of times to dine in Skinny Pizza but we didn't got a chance to push it through. But when the 20sgd voucher was given from the Strip promotion was about to expire we decided to go. We had lunch before I come to office. It is on their branch at Raffle City.

We ordered their Bundle Set 1 (39 sgd); it includes a pasta, Chicken Satay Pizza and a quarter-meter of sausage. We had Spaghetti Bolognese for pasta and spicy chicken sausage. Note: They're serious when they say "spicy". The pasta is firm and freshly-cooked and the sauce is flavorful. For the pizza, I was amazed. That is the thinnest pizza I ate. They are living their name Skinny. So thin that the dough is crispy. But the toppings are overflowing. We only ate half and took home the other.

Unfortunately, the voucher can't be used on promotions so we bought blackforrest cake and warm banana cake for dessert.

WILL: Dough is very important factor of pizza. There so many gimmicks the pizza parlors doing with their dough. There's a thick, thin, stuffed, flavored and so on. But some people do not settle for thin, they go way beyond it and created the skinny one. And last Saturday, 19th of October, we say hello to Skinny Pizza's Raffles City branch.

Abbey ordered the Chicken Satay. I was from the office back then so I am quite full as our company offered a free lunch every Friday and Saturday. I ate 2 slices and Abbey ate one, we take away the half of it and I ate the rest for my breakfast. I ate it all, and from, their you may manage to know If I like it or not, haha!

We have also a sausage that I can't stand the spiciness.

Pleas visit their place, you can have beer or wine. Thanks Strip for the free $20 voucher.

Tropical Hawaiian Fully Loaded Pizza by Pizza Hut Singapore

ABBEY: Is it my hunger or the service of Pizza Hut that got me in the bad mood when we dined in their branch at Marina Square?

We planned to have dinner in the pizza parlor after a day's work and by the time we got there it took us 10mins before we had our seat. Many tables were empty but I noticed that the branch is understaffed that time. Only two staff I saw. Its ok; understandable. They took our order and waiting time began. It is still ok with us even the customer who came after us received their soup and drinks before us.

But when we followed up and they gave the wrong order that is the start. The staff even showed us that, that is what his colleague punched in. It was later verified that is for the other table.

Waiting and waiting then another food came, still that is not what we ordered. We told them that we want the Tropical Hawaiian Fully Loaded Pizza and a pasta. Finally it came but the mood for tasting that particular pizza turned sour. The pizza is good though. The stuff is delicious; it was even larger than the slice itself.

WILL: Advertisement plays a real big factor in every game of business and I am one of the TV viewers that hooked up on Pizza Hut Singapore's commercial of their Fully Loaded Crust.

When I got the chance to asked Abbey out after his APAC shift, we hurriedly went to Marina Square's Pizza Hut branch (nearest one from Abbey's office). My tummy keep on shouting for food, Abbey's meeting was send off around 8PM that time, but because of the cravings of mine, I still muster myself to wait.

But the wait really annoyed us. Oh Abbey ordered the Fully Loaded Delight Meal ($28.90). We waited for 30 minutes and really can't stand our grumbling stomach and we asked for the soup and soft-drinks. Well cola came out first and after 20 minutes the soup. We waited for 30 minutes more before we get the pizza.

I do not know if because I am really furious that time but the the pizza I craved for a long time taste so bad. The chicken doesn't compliment with the cream cheese and spinach. For the first time, I pushed away a pizza slice to my husband.

We do hope that the Pizza Hut management will take a look on this issue, time really matters on a restaurants.

1-for-1 offer at Ricciotti China Square

ABBEY: We went at China Square for the 1 for 1 promotion of Riccioti. The catch is if you order a pizza then the free one is pizza also; unlike other offers that you can order a pizza and pasta. But still the same for me and Wilma; we can order both pizza and pasta then split them.

The place got an alfresco ambiance and tables were candle-lit. I ordered Prosciutto Cotto E Funghi and I put tabasco on half of it. The thin crust pizza looks appetizing so I grabbed a slice and indulge. It was hot and delicious. For pasta, I had lasagne. The taste is different from the ones I had before. The sourness and sweetness of tomato is very rich. So good that I almost ate it all without taking a snap for the blog :) The bill is less than 40sgd all in all.

Half of Wilma's pasta was brought home as she's full with the pizza.

WILL: I am an avid facebook fan of pizza parlor because obviously, I want to taste what different stores can offer. And Ricciotti is one of the FB page I hit the like button to get all the promotions and when they announced the reopening specials on their China Square branch. Then I planned for a date.

We arrived there and chose a seat in their alfresco area (no smoking). As agreed, we will order one pizza and one pasta for each of us. I ordered Pizzotto and Linguine Al Granchio  .

The pizza is not so big unlike the other pizza, I ate almost all of it and I left one slice for Abbey to taste. The pizza has no special thing, that you can remember. Same old, same old.

A big "No" was said against his idea to taste my pasta. He have allergies in seafood. This is a must taste when you will get here. I like the taste of the crabmeat on a pasta a lot!

They still continue this promotion and a lunch deal at their Star Vista store.

The Manhattan Pizza Company Singapore - Pizza Buffet Dinner

ABBEY: Wilma and I both like pizza. Whenever budget and schedule is ok we also try restaurant buffets. So when Groupon released its deal regarding pizza buffet, we thought why we don't try both at the same time :) The Manhattan Pizza Company offers the deal. Located at Orchard Central it is accessible thru Somerset MRT.

We went at 6pm and there was no queue. Their staffs clearly and warmly explained to us the mechanics and for a top up of 2sgd you can have free flow of soda. They advised us to order a slice at a time to enjoy the pizza while it is still hot. But since I deprived myself from food the whole day I ordered Pepperoni and MP Luncheon slices. The pizza didn't got the chance to loose its warmth as I already finished them within 15 minutes. I slowed down a bit and had a slice of BBQ chicken. Each pie is full of toppings and flavorful. I also enjoyed putting Tabasco sauce in it to add spice on each bite. Next two slices were Meat Lover.

As I tried to push more pizza onto my stomach I had another Luncheon meat for my 6th slice. The last one I had is the Margherita. It has a unique taste because of the herb. I thought I can go for eighth but decided not to. Seven is enough; a perfect number. I took gulps of soda and then we headed home. Until next time.

WILL: I am always looking on their The Manhattan Pizza Company facebook page for giveaway opportunities but its always been a fail, oh darn, always defeated. And when I saw that Groupon Singapore came to a deal of $18 for an unlimited pizza, right away I asked Abbey to buy it for both of us and Vince.
That was monday and really starved ourselves nearly to death, haha. My hubby and I came to their Orchard Central branch and asked the lady behind the counter to serve also their unlimited drinks and we topped-up $2.
We were surprised that they have a not so ordinary size of pizza serve here in Singapore. I ordered the pepperoni, and for me it is the best among the other flavors.
From 6pm to 930pm, we were there munching each pizza that we can take in. Love this kind of food, haha, stomach wrecking idea!
Thanks Abbey for the treat. Mwwah!

Shakey's Pizza Singapore

ABBEY:  When I was a child only a few pizza parlor are available in the Philippines. One of these is Shakey's. I always pass by on it as the jeepney terminal to my home is adjacent to it. It was memorable to me because as we are about to ride the jeep a kidnapping incident took at Shakey's. Enough of the CSI story.

Shakey's Philippines is represented by a mascot in a red-yellow suit with red cape. I don't know if they will have one here in Singapore. But it is good that they opened shops here. We went to their branch at Liang Court in Clarke Quay. We were warmly welcomed by their staff and we were given our table. We tried their salad, BBQ chicken wings, beef lasagna and of course their pizza (cheese lover). The servings are big. We shared the delicious meal and talked about anything. Its as if we went back to Philippines. The taste and aroma stays the same. We were already outside the mall when we remember that we should have ordered mojo potatoes. We didn't see it on their menu or maybe we were just excited to indulge on the pizza.

So we went there for the second time and first ask if they have mojos. We got ecstatic when they said yes. We came there as we redeemed Wilma's voucher for a free personal pan pizza. The dip really complement the mojos. We enjoyed our second visit as much as we enjoyed the first. Coincidentally, we were given the same spot of table as before :)

WILL: As I heard the news that Shakey's pizza opened its first branch at Junction 10, I asked Abbey to treat me there someday, but that someday never happened.
The Man above knew what I really want, He let me win a Shakey's facebook contest so we can dine at their 3rd and newly opened branch located at Liang Court.
As it is so accessible, after our cruise at Singapore River via River Explorer, Abbey, Chat and I walked for 5 minutes from Clarke Quay to Liang Court and dined at their newest branch, even without the voucher. Haha!
We ordered 1 solo meal which consisted of pasta, pumpkin soup and coke that costs $14.80, one 9" Cheese Lover Pizza coats $18.80 and Chat asked for a salad $4.80.
Pumpkin Soup is my favorite, gosh I am craving for this since last year, oh I really miss their pizza. I ate two slices and got so full. Abbey and Chat shared the pasta and I never got the chance to taste it. Haha.
Our second time in here was when we go for passport renewal. This time I make it sure that the voucher was with me. We ordered the free pizza and a basket of Shakey's Famous Mojos worth $4.50. When the mojos were served, we were shocked that it is too many for us to eat. Hmmm I declare that mojos here is nicer than the one in Philippines.
Thanks Shakey's Singapore for a great opportunity to dine for free. ;) Go guys to their branches from services to the food, you will surely be satisfied. ;)
