🇸🇬 Spago Buffet Breakfast for only S$52++: Budget-Luxury at Marina Bay Sands!

ABBEY: Lunch and dinner buffets are here and there. So why not have a breakfast buffet? We went to Level 57 of Marina Bay Sands at Spago Dining Room. And no, we’re not a hotel guest. We made reservation and we got a seat. The view is overlooking the famous infinity pool. They have buffet items which are self-serve and there are ala carte ones. No need to wave a hand to our wait staff as Juan Rey is very attentive. He even gave us a couple of Mimosas for Wilma’s natal day.

The food in the self-serve stations are either dry, oily or not that appetizing thus we preferred to get our food from the premium items list. I liked the seafood hor fun and egg noodle with crispy pork belly (sin yuk). The nasi lemak has a good presentation but lack of umami or taste. The same goes for siew mai. However the cold-pressed ABC (Apple, Beetroot, Carrot) juice stood out. We also had buttermilk pancake that comes along with honey butter and blueberry compote. My iced americano was watered down due to the heat but it is refreshing.

🇸🇬 Spago Buffet Breakfast for only S$52++: Budget-Luxury at Marina Bay Sands!

WILL: April holds a special place in mine and Abbey's hearts, so to commemorate all its significance and to make the most of our MBS Rewards points, we opted for a lavish buffet breakfast at Wolfgang Puck’s Spago, perched on the 57th floor of Marina Bay Sands.

For just S$52++/person, we indulged in delightful seafood horfun and fluffy pancakes with heavenly honey butter. The attentive staff, coupled with the breathtaking view of Singapore’s CBD skyline, truly elevated our morning experience. However, when it comes to the food selection, there wasn't anything particularly outstanding.

Will we be back? Perhaps, but mainly for their cocktails. Seek out Juan for a taste of the impeccable service we received. A big shoutout to Juan for treating us to complimentary Mimosas. Here's to more moments of joy and deliciousness! Cheers!

Koma Singapore | Modern Japanese Restaurant at Marina Bay Singapore

ABBEY: Yey! We got a reservation at Koma. The booking have a long list. You need to reserve your table two months ahead. We went there on Christmas Day. Entering the restaurant and walking to your table will transport you a place in Japan. There are tori gates as well as large bell. You will not remember you’re inside a mall. The ambiance got a homey and quiet feel.

We tried their California maki and I got barbecued beef short ribs for main. The beef is tender and the sauce is not that sweet. Perfect to be folded inside lettuce.

Recommended to be tried but I’m not that much of a fan.

WILL: Booking Koma is pretty tedious task for me. I ended up to be on a waiting list… TWICE! Huhu! I marked my calendar and on the first hour they opened the reservation for 25th December, I straight away get the 1130am lunch.

When we saw the their festive menu, without second thoughts we chose to have an ala carte meal instead. I ordered, Spicy Tofu Hot Pot.

I am a sucker for spicy food last December. Well, blame it to my hormones. Haha. Taste? Not bad but quite more than okay. It supplied a dose of spice for my day! Haha! It actually can serve for 2pax. California Maki is just normal but their wasabi is outstanding.

Beside the food, people are queuing for Koma at MBS to somewhat feel the ambiance of Japan. Guests will be welcomed by orange arches, a reminiscent of the Fushimi Inari Shrine. The huge dining room complements the 2.5m tall “FACE Japanese bell", which presides above a traditional Japanese foot bridge.

Well who can beat that? Haha.

Angelina Restaurant and Cafe in Singapore l Marina Bay Sands

ABBEY: Since the start of Christmas season, I suddenly have a craving for a hot chocolate. I picture it hot, creamy, slightly thick and rich in flavour.

It was satisfied by the signature chocolate of Angelina, L’Africain. But boy, it was priced at 13SGD. It was served on a tiny porcelain jug and whipped cream on the side. The taste of chocolate alone brings back memories and really fits the festive air. Adding the whipped cream makes it more thick and decadent. It is smooth till the last drop. I partnered it with egg croissant with smoked salmon.

But I’m telling you, the hot chocolate itself is enough. Try it and see for yourself.

WILL: Do you remember my post about the 18km morning walk for a breakfast? No? Please click this link below. Haha! Abbey is craving for a hot chocolate and he is feeling festive so we decided to get one of the best review hot chocolate in Singapore.. the Angelina at Marina Bay Sands. We walked for almost 4 hours. Great right?

Angelina is a French Cafe and they pride themselves on their hot chocolate. What can I say? Please continue on what you are doing with your creamy, smooth, not so sweet yet not bitter hot chocolate drink. They have a good partnering of black coffee and whip cream. I am awaken on this kind combination.

Their Éclair caramel beurre salé reminds me of eclair candy in the Philippines. Nostalgic and perfect to my black creamy coffee.

Totally a good way to indulge!

Reasons to Visit Marina Bay Sands

ABBEY: One reason is you can see their majestic structure. I was awed when we first came there. Signature boutiques are open to all. Kind staffs will greet you upon entering. No void spaces as they offer live music; be it a band, a quartet, or talent performers. Food courts, fine-dine restaurant, fast food chains, coffee shops will ease your hunger after shopping. A fountain show at the Marina bay will wrap the night; giving you enjoyment and revitalization.

WILL:
If you do not want to shop at crowded orchard, Marina Bay Sands is the place you may want spend your time off.
Weekends? Go here lah! So many performers to entertain you and your kids.
Food? Expensive? No! They have a food court that will satisfy your drool on food. Their food court is like a feast, different specialties of different countries were served here.
Videos uploaded by some performers we saw at MBS. Anyway why settle for a video if you can see those for yourselves :)
