Arteastiq De Patio : A Portmanteau of Art & Tea

ABBEY: We went to try Arteastiq. They have these teas in perfume bottles which kind of unique. The restaurant also has great homey feel. I got their cod fish and chips. I was surprised that the fish taste good. Not your usual fish that gets the flavor from the batter. The perfume-bottle tea live to the hype; not only aesthetically but also in taste.

WILL: I got curious on their perfume e tea. So we booked a table.

Haha! Quite fond of burrata cheese lately so I ordered their Peach Spinach Salad. The spinach leaves are quite fresh and their salad dressing is the real star of this food. Burrata is colder than I expect and the inner portion is not that creamy and on its way to be solid. Sad!

Then the Lychee Ooling Tea! I do really enjoyed drinking this. Not too sweet and lychee do not overpower the tea taste. It is indeed a perfume. The aroma is inviting you to sip more. Haha! It is so tefreshing for the whole body! Lovvve it!!

Please don’t forget to book a table if you do not want to join a long queue. Tea is well recommended. Thumb up!

Scoop Wholefoods Singapore: Loose Tea

ABBEY: I got sick almost the whole month of June. I look for ways how to reset my system and build my immune system again. Surprisingly, most write ups recommend to drink tea. Next thing I know, I’m shopping loose tea combinations at Scoop (Tanglin Mall).

I got one for sleep, immunity and relaxation. At first I thought I would not like the taste but I was wrong. With mixture of tea leaves, lavender, spearmint, rose petals and many more, I really enjoyed drinking it and helped me a lot to become better again. Plus they don’t have that burnt taste even when soaked for a long time. We will come back and try the other tea blends.

WILL: Scoop does live to its name and we became an instant avid customer. Aside from Kombucha and Steel Cut Oats we also found loose tea here.

I am not a fan of flowery taste but Scoop did a great job combining different leaves, herbs and flowers. It is pretty perfectly done! I will not settle for ordinary. And hey! It seems that we save more on this than on our usual bagged teas.

Boh - Cameron Highlands Tea

ABBEY: Preparing this tea requires great timing :) Why did I say it? Soaking the bag for more than 3 minutes will burn the leaves unlike the other brands.
Many times I drank the bitter taste of the tea. Later, I somehow managed to prepare it on time and sip the relaxing concoction during my tea breaks.

WILL: Cameron Highlands of Malaysia is one of my list to go, this is just near to Singapore only a coach away. What makes me want to go there? The tea plantation. Tea enthusiast indeed! But before going there I stumbled their manufactured tea in Cold Storage at VivoCity Mall. Bought it and I really need to taste it.
Every land really grows different taste of fruits, ahm and leaves hehe. For a starting tea adventurer, try this Boh Tea, has an extra mild flavor. Really recommendable, this box is only $2.35

Dilmah Premium Ceylon Tea

ABBEY: My wife asked me to bring the box of Dilmah tea in the office. I thought I cannot finish drinking all of them but I was surprised when I saw only a few bags left. Wilma asked me to take the remaining tea back at home because she haven't tasted it yet thus she'll not be able to blog it. The taste is good like other teas. The leaves don't get burnt easily.

WILL: Promise, Even I am tea addict, I do not know Dilmah tea until I saw this in Singapore. Dilmah is one of the famous ceylon tea and now I know why.
Every tea bag, this has a distinctive taste and aftertaste. Not too strong an no too mild, Abbey loves it a lot and so do I. A great flavor of hot drink every morning. Available on every Sheng Siong branch.

Clipper - Detox Tea

ABBEY: Ok, this is one of my favorite tea. This is a detox tea with infusion of berries. Strong aroma fills my workspace and my colleagues asks only one thing "Where does it come from?". It has a good taste and the leaves will not burn easily even soaked for a long time. A 20-packet box costs less than 8sgd.

WILL: I am glad Abbey is turning to be a tea drinker, absolutely i will support him. After office, I went to Cold Storage VivoCity to look for some tea infusions that I think he will love.  Well, I am right, he fell in love this Clipper's Tea detox infusion. Aroma and taste made myself proud that I will never fail to taste of tea in just reading the ingredients. Haha!
This cost $8 per box of 20. :)

Waitrose LOVE life - dandelion, fennel & ginger infusion tea bags

ABBEY: This tea us a fusion of fennel seeds, dandelion and ginger. Once a sachet is soaked in a cup of hot water, good aroma fills the air. As you drink it ginger taste is dominant but has a sweet after-taste.

WILL: Abbey's is in the process of turning his back to coffee and transforming his self to be a tea drinker. Step-by-step, little-by-little he drinks flavored tea without sugar. So my duty is to look for something sweet concoction of tea leaves.
Then I saw this Waitrose Love Life consists of Dandelion (25%)Fennel (20%)Ginger Root (20%)Liquorice Root (20%)Nettle (15%). The strong aroma and sweet fennel taste never fails me to surprise Abbey. This will be a great choice for the beginners.
Love the taste, this costs $6.00 at Cold Storage

Marks & Spencer's Lemon, Ginger and Ginseng Tea

ABBEY:  This tea reminds me of the drink we had in a spa in Bintan and Bukit Gombak. Only this one is not sweet. As you intake the tea it will leave a menthol-like sensation in your throat. It has no string unlike the ordinary tea. You just have to put in a cup with hot water. The leaves will not be burned resulting to bitter taste.

WILL: Lovely! Refreshing! Satisfying! If you have a cold r flu, this tea will definitely help you for some de-clogging job :)
This costs not more than $5. Try it!

Twinings of London Tea

ABBEY: Wilma likes this tea, but won't buy it always as it was a bit expensive compared to Lipton. But the leaves taste great. They also have teas infused with berries, ginger, etc. When we were at the grocery, she asked me if we can buy a box of those teas, I said yes and she was ecstatic. The box has four teabags in each of the four flavors. Also the drink will not have a bitter after taste even the bag is soaked in water for a long time.

WILL: Literally, Its my cup of tea. The first twinings i tasted was the four red fruit flavored a pasalubong from Italy.
From there, i keep on sipping their teas. Unlike others, u must take off the teabag after 3 minutes or the taste will be bitter, this twinings, even whole day mo ibabad, damn!, it will just give you the full flavor of it.
In philippines it costs 190Php per box of 25, here it costs 6.95SGD.

Dilmah Tea

ABBEY: I love the rich flavor of Moroccan mint. Its good Wilma bought a sample pack of it. This can help you relax by savoring the rich minty aroma. I like to drink it during breaks at the office.

WILL: I love to explore the world of tea. It uplifts and pacify my mind whenever i took a sip of this hot drink. Whenever i go to food fairs, i see to it i have a new tea to indulge in. I found this dilmah tea on food safari. I smelled every variand and tasted some, and i came up to buy this mint and cherry flavored tea. Nice lah!
