CARTIER SINGAPORE SURPRISED US WITH FREE GIFTS | BUYING OUR FIRST CARTIER LOVE JEWELRY

ABBEY:
CARTIER LOVE RING - OUR STORY

WILL: I am literally drooling whenever I am seeing someone wearing a Cartier LOVE ring. A pair of LOVE ring sums up the preliminary budget of our enitire wedding 10years ago. Haha! It is a star for me that time. Lovely to see but impossible to reach!

We have talks of renewing our vows and I am firm that Cartier’s LOVE ring is perfect for the occasion (no negotiations) haha!
Since it is holiday season, Abbey wants to treat me with an earring. Unlike Abbey, I am new in purchasing a jewelry. Yes husband is more keen on this. Haha! Sent an email and received a confirmation but no one calls. I thought it is all okay but I am wrong.

The earring is not available not only in Cartier’s ION Orchard Branch but in Singapore itself. Whew! I am furious. Really! Anyways, we still purchased “the star” of that day which is the LOVE ring and Endrea advised us that we can get the free engraving when we are really sure on the size of the ring. Ahmmm, yep you can return the ring if the size doesn’t fit(terms and conditions applies).

We returned to the store after few weeks for the engraving and we were greeted by their manager(I think) with a smile and explains to us how thankful they are for lur feedback. She gave us two boxes of Cartier scented candles and of course we gladly accepted it. Haha!
Whenever we are at Cartier’s we always instantly felt that we are welcome and ready to serve you! Kudos to Endrea for doing a magnificent job in comforting in my time of anger. That is indeed an ultimate Customer Care she shown to me and my husband!
Will definitely come back to Cartier!

More Than Diamonds (Handcrafted Jewellery)

ABBEY: The diamond on the engagement ring I gave to Wilma became loose. At first I planned to have it fix once we go back to Philippines since I bought it there. But Wilma tried to search for a jeweler in Singapore so she can wear her ring again. That's when we knew about the service of More Than Diamonds.

We went to their showroom at Tanglin Road (131 Tanglin Road, #02-16 Tudor Court, Singapore 247924). And it's closed. Visiting is only by appointment and we didn't have that. Seeing there's somebody inside, Wilma knocked at the door and Chris greeted us. He didn't shoo us away but instead welcomed us and asked how can he be of service. We told the ring's story and he examined it. He quoted us 110SGD to fix the broken claw that holds the stone and for plating. He searched for unique marks in the diamond for us to make sure that it is still our diamond when we come back. I also learned that you can put laser inscription on it. Wow.

After two weeks of waiting, I was amazed of the beauty of the ring; all cleaned and sparkling. Thanks Chris and team.  More Than Diamonds is literally more than diamonds. They know the value of their clients and their clients' precious possessions.

Second Proposal? Ha!

WILL:
OMGGGG!!!! I am on shock when I examined the diamond clinging for its life on my engagement ring. That is when we are at Centara Ras Fushi. Imagine, if I didn't notice it, the whole vacation in Maldives will be ruined because of such lost. Blessed to detect just on time.

While Abbey is taking a nap, I can't control myself to look for an expert help. I found More Than Diamonds in facebook and right there and then, I send them private message. Surprisingly minutes passed and someone replied on me.

Abbey and I scheduled it to be done by November. Yes, 3 months after. Yes, we have a very busy schedule. For that 3 months I feel so incomplete. Haha!

November 14, we went to their office, without appointment (please book a schedule) we are just lucky that we were accommodated by Chris that time, maybe he feels my desperation about the ring, haha.

Chris educated us about the diamond. That it has a birthmark and you can encrypt some messages inside (isn't cool?). Then, he found out that one of 4 tower that hold the diamond was cut-off. He charged my husband for $110.00 for cleaning, plating and repair.

Weeks after, Abbey proposed again to me, using the same ring. Haha. So kilig!

Thanks More Than Diamond for saving one of the most precious thing in our married life.

Bella Ibarra - Quezon City

ABBEY: This is the site for our wedding ceremony. We got their quotation a year before the wedding. Both ceremony and reception is held here. The place can accommodate 150 pax. We availed one of their package that includes the use of other amenities, souvenirs, decoration of the site, and food. Over all feedback from the guests are good. They enjoyed the food, place and the wedding rites. By the way the place is located along Quezon Avenue.

WILL: Rooting for Bella Ibarra but I let Abbey to decide where will be our reception. I accompany him to roam around other places but Bella Ibarra got his heart. Right there and then we paid for 10kPhp reservation fee then we explained all our situation. Communicating through email and phone calls were hassle free.

The food? Very very nice, how do I know? Kasi nasarapan ang nanay ko eh, ibig sabhin masarap tlga yun. Hehe. The place very accesible at ang mga tao, very thankful na sila ay naging part ng preparation ng kasal nmin hehe.

Thanks to Bella Ibarra :)

Jazz Bridal Pte Ltd

ABBEY:  It's been almost five months since we tied the knot but we were not still be able to blog on the boutique that provided our beautiful wedding dress and suite.
We went there after Chinese New Year. We were told that they are having promotion. We got all for the price of 888.

Wow, that was great. The shop didn't fail us, as we were both looking good at our BIG day.

Maybe at our 5th or 10th anniversary, we will come again at the boutique :)

WILL: Original plan was to buy at Divisoria as my mom knows a lot of good maker of wedding gowns, but time and location is a big hindrance for that idea.

So nanalo si Abbey, we bought my gown here in Singapore. Tanjong Pagar road is a cradle for wedding needs here in Singapore and its just a two corners away from our office. In stretch of this road, we enter almost every boutique but Jazz Bridal is the most accommodating. Hail to Ms. Jasmine, she gave us good advices and give us a big discount, since it we are their first client after the Chinese New Year.

Yeah, we bought the gown but actually it can be rented out, and initial reaction of Ms Jasmine.. "your fiance loves you so much, he bought the gown for you" hehe.

We love the Jazz Bridal a lot, everyone is so kind, ooppsss. Before you go here, pls make an appointment, they handle one client at time to ensure the quality service. ;) Oh, you can contact them at 6837 3733.

Nelia's Salon Spa

Abbey:
Ever wonder who did my hair in preparation for our wedding? Its Nelia's. I told the hair stylist to give me a good haircut so I'm handsome for our BIG day. He never failed me :). The pictures show. Haircut costs 15sgd plus the stories and conversation with your fellow Pinoys. They also offer manicure, pedicure, hair and foot spa. The shop is located at 4th floor of Lucky Plaza.

WILL: Disappointment really hits me when i went to Mary Chia. Di kinalkal ang in-grown ko. Hmp! I am a kind of girl, na di ko feel na nalilinis ang toe nails hanggat di sila dumudugo. Hehe. So to satisfy and mawala na ang masakit na in-grown, we went to Lucky Plaza. :)
There, natatawa sila sa akin kasi feeling nila masakit na ang gngawa nila para sa akin pero ako ayun, walang reaction. Haha. While they do my nails Abbey is in line for a haircut.
Pedicure (Fil Style) worth us 25$. Ang mahal pero worthy naman. Ang gaan ng feeling. :)

AR Photography

Abbey:
Fact: My father is the owner of the business.
Having said that, I can't blame the readers if they'll find me bias on my blog regarding our family business. But from what I experience when we tied the knot, its great.  We hired AR Photography to capture one of the memorable milestone for me and Wilma.

Its a four-man team, including the proprietor;my father. They came to the place by the set time of appointment. They also gave us tips on how to project in front of the camera.

When we saw the video, it was superb. I watched it a several times and it never fails to make me smile and be happy. Additional factor is that its our wedding. As the son of the owner, we got huge discount for the coverage :) Thanks, Mang Boy.

WILL: Yes, this is free :) ... Well what I can say? Papa's men were on time. As in ang aga! Masaya sila kaya they will not miss a nice shot and good side of every snap

Their package depends on how you want them to portray your memories for life.

You can contact them through +63-921-7929008.

iFotoclicker Photo Booth Philippines

ABBEY:
Ifotoflicker gave our wedding more fun and enjoyment, besides my singing :) As it is owned by my cousin, and the business is just starting, we had the photo booth that fits on our budget. Guests were excited to strike a pose with different gestures and props. They didn't even bother their hunger since they are busy smiling at the camera. The prints are good. And the guests are happy with the results. We also picked our thank you snap from the photo booth pics. Thanks Tita Edith, Hazel, and Kathleen.

WILL: What will be your reaction if you have a very demanding customer? Maybe anxiety will come to a certain point right? Ano pa kaya pag ako ang naging client mo?

Well, i am too demanding and my hobby is to haggle.  :) So sorry dear Hazel.

I do not want an ordinary photo booth on our wedding. A half shot is not in my list. I want it to be like a Hollywood's red carpet shots! So I pushed iFotoclicker to go for whole body snaps!

Now, when she asked me for tarpaulin design, i said i don't want to have our logo to be the backdrop, so I ashed he to look for some cloth with elegant design. Consisting of our motif... Gold.

I don't even want out face to be on each printed paper. I just want our name and wedding date.

I asked for blackboard/whiteboard so the guests can write mga hinanaing nila sa buhay. Hehe

Requests were all done. And exceeded all my expectations. How much? Her package is from Php7k. But we have it less than that! Haggle man!

Wishing the best to you Hazel, you are so dedicated girl in your works! :)

Irene Verdida - Make up Artist

ABBEY: Wilma is looking for hair and make-up package for the wedding since last year. I think she has asked several artists for their quotations. She chose Ms. Irene Verdida. Asking for her wedding package the second time, she told us that she will retain the prices of 2010 since we inquired during that year.

She and her staff were very early for the call time and started their work as soon as they arrived. The products are great as well as the services. The make-up last the entire wedding or should I say hours after we tied the knot. Thanks Ms. Irene. You made my wife more beautiful.

WILL: I search and search, ask for their wedding packages, then I choose whoever my heart feels to be my make-up artist. So we chose Ms. Irene Verdida. Her wedding package was not the cheapest but when I talked to her over the phone, I felt the sincerity in her work. I haggled on her package but she told me that she increased prices for 2011 but since she saw my inquiry last year pa, she gave me the 2010 deals and it worth us Php11,000++ for Airbrush Make-up (bride) plus four traditional make-ups.

What unusual to this dealings, we never saw each other before our big day. Just email, sms messages and phone calls lng tlga. I don't even hesitate to send our down payment sa account nya, as if na isa sya sa mga nababasa ko na bogus suppliers in the net.

Very accommodating, nasa hotel na sya pero kami, still on our slumber. Ang usapan 530AM pero I think mas maaga pa sya dun. Ha!

She uses MAC products, the product I only trusted for make-ups. Why? Di talaga sya natutunaw, sus sa dami na naman na events na pinag-abayan and napunthan ko. I usually asked for MAC tlga!

Well recommended. Four thumbs up (kasama thumbs ni Abbey).

The Sulo Riviera Hotel

ABBEY: This is the closest hotel to our wedding venue. It is located at Matalino Road, Diliman, Quezon City.  A very good one compared to any other hotel around Quezon Ave. They have nice line of staff which caters the clients to meet their needs. We booked their Ambassador's Suite for 3 days and 2 nights. Someone would think, its not that cheap but its very reasonable. We had a complementary wine, fruit basket, mannequin for the wedding gown, a discounted price for the suite and an extension room, and six passes for breakfast buffet. The room was large that includes a dining area, living room, walk-in closet, and master's bedroom. Our stay there is great. Special thanks to Patrice, Lloyd and their front desk officers :)

WILL: I am rooting for the aquarium room of Manila Ocean Park but our venue was on QC.

Makati and ortigas had the nicest hotel that i know but traffic blocked the idea.
Searching for last minute, we found this Sulo Riviera, automatically looked for their banquet team, then met patrice. She showed us the different rooms then we came up to occupy the ambassador suite. A very large room that have a walk-in closet. An entertainment room, small garden and an extension room that we also rented out. This ambassador suite costs us 16000php per night and my haggling powers? Di umubra. Ha! But any way worthy di naman kami araw araw naghohotel. Hehe.
Ayun, suggestions for the hotel? Lagyan nila ng jacuzzi or bathtub ang bathroom. Sila lang napunthan ko na hotel na executive room na walang gnun, hmp!

Mary Chia - The Beauty & Slimming Specialist

Abbey:
Wilma told me to book a schedule for manicure and pedicure before our wedding. My feet took me to NEX mall again. I inquired in 2 or 3 services but they're all fully booked. I found Mary Chia at the 3rd floor. They are free on my preferred time. 150SGD will include couple manicure and pedicure,  and foot spa with massage. Wilma enjoyed the massage very well. Her feet were aching and its a relief to have that massage.

WILL: I need something blue, and I decided that it will be my toenails. Abbey set an appointment of 730pm to Mary Chia NEX Branch. The foot massage is so great, i can even sleep in their couch. The manicure and pedicure?, it will be my first and last.

Goldheart Singapore

ABBEY:
Finally, we found the one ring. Its not in Mt. Doom but in Goldheart at NEX Serangoon mall. We visited a couple of Goldheart branches, but in NEX, they have the design that we want; simple and elegant :) The rings fit our fingers as well as our budget. These will symbol our union as husband and wife forever.

WILL: Until late Last year, we do not have the firm answer on the question "When is your wedding?" but we find time to look for suppliers.  Also last year, we found this jewelry shop. We are eyeing on this because they got the simple design of wedding rings.
Yeah! Just this February we purchased the sign of being married, the ring that we will wear to symbolize our affection with each other.
Why goldheart? Besides that they have the design we want, they have a very accommodating staffs, they have very nice ambiance na talagang mapapabili ka, and the free cleaning, free palit ng design for a year, vouchers and a lot more. We got these at their NEX branch.
