NeNe Chicken Singapore - Star Vista Branch

ABBEY: We have tried BonChon and now is the time to tickle our taste buds with delights from Nene Chicken.

We dined on their branch at Star Vista mall (nearest MRT is Bouna Vista). The place can accommodate 20-25 pax. Save your chat with your friends and place your order. It will take time to get ready and wait until your coaster lights up. It's worth the wait.

I've got Green Onion. The chicken is crunchy outside and moist and flavorful inside. It is mouth-watering and absolutely you'll ask for more. The soy sauce mixed with rice have a hint of wasabe and really complimented the chicken. Their fries is a bit different as they are thin but delicious. You can either eat your meal with bare hands and get messy or you can ask for a disposable gloves on the counter. Depends on how you want to enjoy your experience.

WILL: Sorry… I chicken out to try the freaking hot flavored chicken! Huhu! NeNe Chicken originates in Korea, so popular in that land that found its way to cater the cravings of their Singapore fans.

I first saw their branch here in Star Vista, their place was well lit but constricted. I then asked Abbey to set a date to dine at this place and that was planned to be with my very good friend / blog model… Chat. Haha!

We met, sat and ordered. As I told you, I backed-out to taste the freaking hot when I saw some of diners keep on gasping for an air when they take a bite on that piece of red chicks. I went for Snowing Cheese, Abbey for Green Onion and Chat for Swicy. My order, of course, pact with cheese, not so salty but quite sweet. The serving is too big for me. As usual, I asked my husband to eat the rest for me.

Their french fries oh I mean their Buffalo Sticks tastes so good that if I am not that full, I will buy for tapao. I like the pickled radish too.

Go ahead and visit their Star Vista branch, their service is quite slow but I am sure that it is worth the wait.

Kopi Tiam by SWISSÔTEL Singapore

ABBEY: This is not your ordinary Kopitiam. From what I experienced this is a high-end one. It is located at Swissotel Stamford (near City Hall MRT exit ). So like other restaurant you can make a reservation or walk in to dine. You will be given a menu instead of making an order on the stalls.

I got Nasi Lemak. While waiting, we were served with chips. The serving is big, flavorful and delicious. I expected a fried chicken but their version is chicken curry. Then I had teh-c after the meal.

It is amazing to know that an almost-fine-dining Kopi Tiam exists where you can have a moment with your loved ones on a "classy" way for a higher-than-normal price. The total bill didn't exceed 25sgd for 2 set meals. I would also like to commend Maricor for attending to us during our date.

WILL: We are really amazed that Swissotel named their restaurant  "Kopitiam" which means coffee shop and this is a well known street shop in Singapore.

I ordered a Bak Kuh
The, Singapore's famous pork soup. I thought they will give me a small serving because it only costs $18 but when served, I saw a gigantic bowl with ala-dinasour cut of pork ribs. Ha! As usual I targeted for the soup and youtiao, well its a great combination as usual. I ate a lpt of dough fritters. Haha!

Thanks to Ms Maricor for assisting all our needs and thanks to Abbey for his 30th bday treat!

Triple-O's Singapore - The Star Vista Branch

ABBEY: Wilma wanted to have a taste of this Canadian burger. So one day after my shift, we didn't have food at home an I'm too lazy to cook, I asked her to meet me in Star Vista. She was excited when I told her we'll be dining in Triple O's.

The diner is unique. Unlike the usual burger joint clad with red and yellow colors (this is to entice the eyes so you'll feel hungry and eat), this is donned with green and white. They're boasting that their burger are made-to-order and behold they are. You need to wait to sink your teeth on that "medium-rare" beef patty. The fries are indulging as well. It was a good dinner.

WILL: Are you in budget but you want a very tasty hamburger.. hamburger that was served to famous hotels? Well, you are in luck if you are just around the Buona Vista area.

Triple O’s was originated at Canada and branched out in Hong Kong, China, and Singapore. Well, so lucky indeed. I saw their Star Vista branch and 2012, I asked Abbey to set a date for him and I to dine in there. And you know what? Year passed and that’s the only time he set a dinner for me on that diner. It’s our 5th year anniversary as boyfriend and girlfriend.

Order and they will cook for you… freshly out from the pan. I asked for Original Combo. Shocks the meat is lovely. So juicy and the beef taste delicious! Their place is not so crowded and you can relax your stressed out mind.

Now we add up another diner to our list! Thanks Triple O’s! More more juicy burger to eat!

(Washokodokoro) Waraku Japanese Casual Dining Singapore VivoCity

ABBEY: We won an invite for the opening of Waraku Japanese restaurant in Vivo City. It was located on the rooftop park of the mall. Outside the restaurant is a photobooth where you can pose with a Samurai.

We were given a table for two and the staff told us as part of the store opening a meal including a drink will be served for free. The meal includes tempura, udon, sushi, and potato salad. The sauce brings more flavor on the tempura.

I really like the sushi; I hoped that they will serving more of those.

WILL: Fan of Japanese Cuisine? Add up Waraku Japanese Restaurant on your list. Waraku is one of the famous and oldest restaurant from its at East Coast Park.

Its the opening at their VivoCity branch when we first stepped our feet in one of their restaurant. The place portrayed a very cozy feeling. Its seats, tables, even plates and chopsticks well complimented to each other. Relaxing is the great word to describe it.

They offered us drinks and I asked for cranberry juice after a while the food was served. The tray consists of udon, shrimp and vegetable tempura, and volcano maki. The most memorable was the noodles packed with flavors and very chewy, its seems like a gnocchi texture.

Thanks Waraku for this free dinner and free photo shot with Sushi Ronin.

Guys please visit their page here for more details.

Skinny Pizza Singapore / What a Crack

ABBEY: We planned a couple of times to dine in Skinny Pizza but we didn't got a chance to push it through. But when the 20sgd voucher was given from the Strip promotion was about to expire we decided to go. We had lunch before I come to office. It is on their branch at Raffle City.

We ordered their Bundle Set 1 (39 sgd); it includes a pasta, Chicken Satay Pizza and a quarter-meter of sausage. We had Spaghetti Bolognese for pasta and spicy chicken sausage. Note: They're serious when they say "spicy". The pasta is firm and freshly-cooked and the sauce is flavorful. For the pizza, I was amazed. That is the thinnest pizza I ate. They are living their name Skinny. So thin that the dough is crispy. But the toppings are overflowing. We only ate half and took home the other.

Unfortunately, the voucher can't be used on promotions so we bought blackforrest cake and warm banana cake for dessert.

WILL: Dough is very important factor of pizza. There so many gimmicks the pizza parlors doing with their dough. There's a thick, thin, stuffed, flavored and so on. But some people do not settle for thin, they go way beyond it and created the skinny one. And last Saturday, 19th of October, we say hello to Skinny Pizza's Raffles City branch.

Abbey ordered the Chicken Satay. I was from the office back then so I am quite full as our company offered a free lunch every Friday and Saturday. I ate 2 slices and Abbey ate one, we take away the half of it and I ate the rest for my breakfast. I ate it all, and from, their you may manage to know If I like it or not, haha!

We have also a sausage that I can't stand the spiciness.

Pleas visit their place, you can have beer or wine. Thanks Strip for the free $20 voucher.

Poulét at Raffles City (First French Casual Dining Restaurant Chain Concept in Singapore)

ABBEY: Our blog's third anniversary came and just in time for that Poulet at Raffles City opened a couple of weeks before. So after my morning shift we went to the restaurant and found a long queue. Almost giving up the plan to dine in, the staff approached us and told us that a table for two was available. Nice :)

It's a French cuisine restaurant and I got Iberico pork belly and fries. The food has a good plating and a thousand flavors bursted in my mouth on each bite. It was delicious.

The fries was served in a small bucket with dip on the side. Main entree starts at less than 15 sgd. It was great celebration indeed.

WILL: Maybe Abbey was thinking back then that if he will date me on a Frenh restaurant, he'll be as romantic as french people are. Well, he do not need to that because for me he is the most romantic man I ever dated.

I planned for a pizza night to celebrate the We'll Tell You - A&W Couple's Blog 3rd year anniversary, but he told me that he had a plan too. I pushed my idea but he won, I gave way for his plan. I am surprised to see a newly built restaurant at Raffles City. Its a classy and I am pretty annoyed that we will be spending a lot for a one dinner. I started to murmured about the price but Abbey shused me.

We were seated beside the window and on my delight, they have just two page menu, ha! They will not give their diners a hard time to choose from their list. I am not a keen eater of chicken but I still asked for their frontliner dish.. The Poulét Rôtti, (Roast Chicken) merged with their Mushroom Chardonnay Sauce. The taste is superb! Abbey spoonfed me their Iberico Pork Belly, oh darl, the taste is really unforgettable!

Overall, it is really a nice experience for both of us. Now I know why many people love to eat French Cuisine.

Thanks Baby for this treat!

Breko Cafe - Holland Village - Singapore

ABBEY: Vincent wanted to have dinner at Holland Village. Since its only a couple of stops away from our home, we said yes. We were looking for a place to dine and we found Breko Cafe. They serve Western cuisine like steak, burgers, and pasta.

At less than 15sgd, I had a big crispy chicken bacon burger and a handful of fries on a large plate. They were delicious and satisfied my hunger. Make sure to order early and follow it up as it will take time to be served but worth the wait.

The place is jam-packed every night.

WILLYou can find Breko Cafe at two places, 38 Lorong Mambong & 229 Victoria Street Bugis Village, and we dined at their Holland Village branch!
Have you been at Holland V? Well this is one of the famous Makan place here in Singapore. At the right hand side of this place, you will find a lane of bars and cafe, and Breko is among them.
The place was jampacked but we only waited for only minutes for our turn. The place have a layback feeling, a very good attitude for a Friday night. I ordered Chargrilled Salmon, Abbey asked for Crispy Chicken Bacon Burger and Vince had Ribeye Steak. The serving is too big for me and the taste is like you are eating it in a five star hotel.
Thanks for the recommendation Vince, looking forward for more pigging-out.
