Teo Heng KTV Karaoke Studio - Suntec City Branch

ABBEY: Our highschool singer and friend, Marineth, got to visit Singapore again. And Wilma decided to have karaoke session. We booked a room at Teo Heng KTV in Suntec. It was a Friday night and the place was fully booked. Everybody wants to belt out their favorite tunes.

The room is clean and you can bring your own food. Just ensure that the room is the same before you use it. They also offers chips and drinks.

We found it difficult to search for songs. Even using the app is not helpful. I hope this can be looked at. Still we managed to sing some. We  played the songs of Maroon 5 and then catch up with Neth.

WILL: Chat and I were really far from each other and we want to meet her and our tourist friend half-way and on that we met at Suntec City.

Do not forget to make a reservation 2-3 days before your KTV session or you will end up queueing for hours.

Teo Heng KTV has a clean room and we were delighted to see some maracas and tambourine. We were given a microphone cover for added protection in spreading virus and bacteria. Oh! We carried our own food but bought the cold bottled water for only $1 at their counter.

For 3 hours ($16/hour), I do not know if we three are just dumb or the KTV machine is not really a user-friendly but it's hard to search for songs in the catalog. We downloaded their app and still do not help uplift our misery. Haha! Oh darn! We went over to other KTVs but this is the hardest machine to use in selecting, browsing or even searching for songs.

Anyways, we hit the M2M songs, Backstreet Boys, Maroon 5 and even the latest single of Justin Bieber. Ahm, would Abbey forget to sing some Parokya ni Edgar? Of course not!

Marineth S. Tongol arrived few minutes before our time is up, haha! She wanted to sing a Miley Cyrus but the song have an accompaniment. Haysss!

Do not forget to clean as you go guys!

Xi Long Hotpot & Family KTV Deal from iMOB Shop

ABBEY: Maybe it is in-born or maybe since I'm on the choir in early days, I want to practice spand showcase my talent on singing. So we decided to have another session at KTV (across Haw Par Villa MRT).

For 7SGD via iMOB SMRT offer, you can sing all you want for three hours and have a free flow of drinks. The room is smaller compared to the one in Bugis but still we have the same fun. Just go to the list and pick the songs you like, or songs that you know only parts or words of them. S

ing your heart out. No one will "boo" you.

WILL: Holiday mood never ends on 25th December. Ha! We love singing!!! iMob released a very affordable 3-hour KTV with unlimited drinks for only $7. In luck, our nurse friend said that she is on off that Sunday. With no hesitation, we bought the ticket and booked our desired time.

A bit frustrated of the place because it is too small for a group of 4. No way we can dance on that space. Hihi! No one can stop our merriment-making even Vince has a laptop sending some emails to his colleagues.

We hit Madonna, Spice Girls (of course), Abba, Maroon 5, Lady Gaga, and a lot more.

Recommendable? Excellent for cleanliness, the scent inside of the room is pleasant and the air conditioning is quite unbearable. Thanks iMob. Keep the good deals coming!

K Suites @ Bugis+

ABBEY: One of Pinoy's pastime is doing karaoke. Professional singers, amateurs, and even the out-of-tunes will belt it out when they got hold of the mic. Pinoys are "born" singers. So after my night shift, yes without sleeping, we went to K Suites in level 3 of Bugis+ to have a 3-hour singing engagement with Nadine and Vince.

We got a promo offered by Groupon at 80SGD. The place is clean, smells good and homey. The sound proofing is good so we can keep our talents to ourselves. Haha.

While checking the list of songs, we found out the hard truth. We were already old :). Our repertoire consists of Backstreet Boys, Moffats, Westlife, and 98 Degrees. (Wow, all were disbanded). We also got the timeless like Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Beatles. Our singing skills kept up with Katy Perry, Maroon 5, Buble, and Taylor Swift.

It was a fun afternoon and made sure that we will have this dayout again :)

WILL: Is there a noise drumming inside of your head? Stressed in office or school activities? Burnt out of your monotonous life? Or just want to have fun? Call K Suites  62433113 or 63543113 for reservations.

We got a very good deal at Groupon and managed to booked on our desired time and date. For 3 hours of singing our heart out plus one glass of soda or tea.

We arrived minutes before 12noon and but we were accommodated immediately. As we arrived in our designated room the mic starts to burn as Abbey and VA lined more than 20 songs in snap. Shocks, I think they came here all prepared.

For full 3 hours, we sing, laugh, dance and be merry. 90’s songs is the best!

K Suites, please put some more lights inside each room.

Till next time VA and Nadine ;)

Party World KTV (家樂迪)

ABBEY: Filipinos love to sing; be it a belting or sometimes a LITTLE out of tune. Give our kababayan a mic and entertainment has begun. We got a 28-dollar voucher for 2 hours of videoke at Party World KTV. This includes 4 drinks and bowl of munchies. The place got party lights, comfy couch and sound proof wall for those "singers".

As expected I was the first to sing. The songs I selected tell me how old I am. BSB, Rey Valera, Rick Price, Michael Jackson and other artist. But I must admit that those songs were good. VA and I took turns with the usual duet from Wilma. We wrapped up by singing Sean Kingston's Beautiful Girl. It was a fun time.

WILL: Abbey just blurted out "Let's go for karaoke!", and to grant that request. I go back to the emails of all discount companies sent to me. I compared the perks and the price then we finally decided to buy the Groupon voucher. For only $28, we can get 2 hours of singing for 4 pax and a complimentary drink for each and 2 bowls of chips. We booked on a Sunday 6pm. So sad that Chat's duty to hospital do not gave her an opportunity to sing with us.
On our way in to Party World KRV at their VivoCity branch, the two boys were excited, Abbey because he really miss to sing and VA for his newly acquired Rado wristwatch (happy for you Vince).
Then the singing marathon began. We scanned the song list per artist then Abbey finally started to vibrate his singing voice. It was like we go back from our HS time. His song choices is really a 199-!
We enjoyed the two hours of singing (me as a back-up singer), sipping of cold drinks (sorry tonsils) and the chips is quite tasty too.
This is a really a memory to treasure. ;)
