Mang Kiko's Lechon - Singapore

ABBEY: Its so nice to savor Pinoy food once in a while. That's why we never let the opportunity pass when we set our foot at Lau Pa Sat. We went to Mang Kiko. They're serving grilled liempo, pork and chicken barbecue. Every order comes with a bowl of soup. Very Pinoy talaga. Salamat po.

WILL: I just found out that our office is just few blocks away from lau pa sat and hurriedly excited to tell to abbey that findings. Haha! After work, he went to our office and walked our way to that place. So many food to choose from but of course we will buy what our taste buds are looking for, the filipino dishes :)
As usual we ordered liempo for 6SGD, this came with a face quenching suka and a soup. Yum yum, sa uulitin :)

Kaya Toast - Lau Pa Sat

ABBEY:
I came from night-shift. So we decided to buy a set of kaya toast including na yung 2 coffees at 2 half-cooked eggs. At ang presyo? 2.50SGD. It's a good thing na after ng night shift, meron kang makakain na ganito sa almusal. Kaya after namin dun, tulog talaga ako sa MRT. Thanks for the treat Wil.

WILL: Fond of Kaya Toast and half cooked egg. The best of this kind of food in Manila is the Kopi Roti. Pero di type ni Abbey yun when we dated sa branch nila sa The Columns.
I don't know why I like this. I am not into egg whites kasi I am more than of yolk.
Then the toast is crunchy. Then the eggs adding some sault and is nice then dip in the bread. Really good.
We tried other hawker's kaya toast but no one came near to Lau Pa Sat's taste. :)

Tapa King Singapore

ABBEY:

"Sa wakas, nagbukas din". Yan ang nasabi ko after ko maghintay na magbukas ang Tapa King. Siguro talagang sobrang aga lang namin nagpunta dun. Usual opening nila is 9am. We ordered our breakfast. Wow! Filipino food sa abroad. Makakatikim na din ako ng sariling atin. Pinoy food came with Filipino serving, ang konti  :( But that's ok. Habang kumakain ako, I'm delighted kasi yun yung lasang hinahanap ko. At only 6SGD, masarap na breakfast mo.
I'll definitely come back for more tapa :)

WILL: Well, it was my 2nd day here in Singapore when Abbey told me that he misses tapsilog and ask me to join him to Lau Pa Sat after his shift.
From Esplanade, we went to Tapa King and willing to wait until 9am for them to open their store. But our grumbling tummies is on strike. Abbey is a bit mad kasi medyo late n sila nagbukas, Filipino time ika nga..
They present their food without a plate, they used a different kind of paper. Then they have the free soup, at ang masarap nilang vinegar, yikes, I am drooling just thinking again of it. :)
Great to have filipino investors around the globe. Making us proud to be Filipinos. :) Visit TapaKing, support filipino products :)
