Bicol Isarog Transport | Manila - Legazpi - Manila | Skybus with CR

ABBEY: Instead of flying to Bicol we chose the 12-hour bus ride and it is with Isarog Bus (Skybus with Comfort Room). Don’t ask why Skybus when it is only a bus. We preferred to board it at PITX than in Cubao; anyway the fare to PITX is free at the time of this writing and PITX is a newly-built transport hub.

Not that much feature on the bus aside from USB port, lazyboy-type seat, and CR. But you’ll definitely be able to sleep in comfort. Please do bring your own jacket or blanket. There are stopovers for you to stretch and buy quick snacks. A good feature of the bus is that a beep will sound whenever the speed reaches 80-90kph. With this you’ll be assured that the bus will cruise at recommended speed.

The 6PM timing really worked for us. It allowed us to sleep almost the whole duration of the trip and woke up refreshed and ready for our Bicol day activities.

WILL: There are two ways for people from Manila to reach Bicol Region… by plane and luckily we can also travel by land. Why we chose land? The simple answer is, it is somewhat hassle free. The early arrival and late departure to and from Legazpi is perfect for us to see and immerse ourselves in the beauty of Mayon Volcano and Sorsogon’s Beach.

So how’s the bus? It is comfy and enough room to recline your chair and fall asleep. The problem is, the air conditioning is too cold for my liking. As in it is shivering cold. The bus has a water closet. It is small, not dirty but there’s a strong smell of urine. So still not advisable to use for ladies.

Will I recommend to pay again more than the plane ticket to ride a sleeper bus? Hmmm. Let me think again. Haha!

Aeroline Bus - Luxury Bus From Kuala Lumpur To Singapore

WILL:  One of the issues in getting from Singapore to Malaysia is travelling by bus or by plane. If by plane, you may hit an expensive flights and almost an hour train (pricey) ride to the city. If by bus, you need to spend almost 6hours travelling and if you get striked by unluckiness your bus may have cockroaches, delay and not so friendly drivers.

Who doesn’t want to experience the comfort of long travel? If you have the luxury of time and on a good budget, Aeroline is a must try.

Aeroline bus has a lounge area for you to seat, have a cup of coffee while waiting for your ride. A driver and an attandant is the team that will accompany you during the journey.

The best thing in Aeroline, well of course is their very comfy, not smelly and clean leather lazyboy seats. It can be reclined perfectly for your sleeping needs. There’s a tv, desk and even an usb for you to charge your gadgets. Their food selection offers vegetarian meal too.

Worried about your washroom routine? Well, don’t fret, the bus also has a clean toilet!

Hope everyone can experience this! 🤗

C.S Travel & Tours (Amudi Express) - Cameron Highlands to Kuala Lumpur Sentral

ABBEY: The travel time from Cameron Highlands to Kuala Lumpur is approximately 5 hours. That is per the information printed on our bus tickets from C. S. Travel and Tours (Amudi Express).

We left Terminal Freesia Bus Terminal (Tanah Rata) at 8:30 in the morning and got to Kuala Lumpur half an hour before lunch. That was fast. Our bus just glided along the zigzag road. Haha.

Now I know why the hotel receptionist told us that she’s not taking bus to and from Cameron Highlands.

C.S Travel & Tours (Amudi Express) - Cameron Highlands to Kuala Lumpur Sentral

WILL: Sorry for not having a photo of the bus itself! I am busy looking for washroom before our travel to KL. The bus terminal's toilet is close and lucky enough, the C.S Travel and Tour ticketing staff assisted me to go the nearest cafe for me to use a washroom. Yes, I need assistance because the cafe is still close.. Haha! +1 for the staff's effort!

Let's go to the bus. Well, the driver is strict, he called out the man who pushes his feet at the front seat. Yeah! The bus is neat! Love the way he drives, it's like he is rocking me to sleep!

For your next travel, go for C.S Travel and Tours.

The One Travel & Tours Bus - Singapore to Cameron Highlands

ABBEY: We booked our night-rider Cameron Highland-bound bus at One Travel and Tours Bus (Golden Mile Complex). Be there on time and approach the counter to confirm the bus arrival. They gave us bottled water and then we boarded the bus.

We’re seated at the upper deck. The bus has nice smell but I’ve seen a small cockroach near my window.

We stopped at Kuala Lumpur for other passengers to alight and then headed to mountains. :) We reached at 9AM.

The One Travel & Tours Bus - Singapore to Cameron Highlands

WILL: 10mins before your departure is just fine. Do not be like us, we waited there for almost half an hour standing and waiting for the bus to arrive. Print out your ticket, on that the counter will write down your seat designation and hand out your free bottled water.

At the bus, it is clean. Aha! The seat is reclining and enough space for my legs. I slept peacefully on our journey. I feel comfy and somewhat never bitten by any bugs. Haha!

SG to Cameron Highlands! What a wonderful trip for only SGD53.455!

WTS Travel Bus - Singapore to Kuala Lumpur (Booked at CatchThatBus)

ABBEY: It’s my first time going to Kuala Lumpur. Yey! My wife planned that our entry to the city is thru a bus. We purchased a couple of tickets online for 70SGD and our seats were reserved at WTS Travel busline. It will leave Jurong at 11:59PM on a Friday.

We were at front of Big Box and hopped on the bus and few minutes only we were headed on our way. We really started travelling at 2AM after the immigration ceremonies (and it’s a weekend). We arrived at TBS Terminal Bersepadu Selatan 6:30AM Saturday. We have 2 stopovers but we preferred to sleep.

The commute is ok and smooth, and cold :) The driver always ensure that we’re complete before going off.

WTS Travel Bus - Singapore to Kuala Lumpur

WILL: I am keeping an eye on the schedule of busses from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur for months. Yes with “S”. We are waiting for Abbey’s leave to be approved, but when the office schedule was updated, the bus I want to ride on is fully booked. On that, we went on based on our denoted time of departure and landed to WTS Travel.

This bus is just a “meh”. They only provide what is a necessary. A comfortable chair that you can recline and sleep to and an aircon. That’s it. No usb plug for you to charge, no tv, and meal to snack on. But our driver is exquisitely kind.

Our driver goes extra mile, he waited for us in front of customs Malaysia Customs Gate and gather us around. He accompanied us to our bus parking lot. Unlike other passenger experiencing the agony of checking one by one the plate number of the busses parked.

Thanks WTS for making our very first travel to KL by land comfortable.

You can see all the bus operators schedule and prices at CatchThatBus.com

Have a safe trip to all.

Colour Your Buses by LTA Singapore : Lush Green Won

ABBEY: Land Transportaion Authority unveiled two new colors of bus; red and green. Red represents Singapore and the green for the lush greenery of the city state. They will let the people vote which color will be official. One of their road shows was held at Vivo City where me and my wife got a chance to board the public transport and get the feel of the new giants of the road.

The new buses have USB ports where you can charge your devices. It is more spacious.

The staircase of double-deckers are genius. It has two sets. One for going up and one for going down. No more bottlenecks when boarding and alighting.

Congratulations Singapore for this endeavor.

WILL: Singapore government is serious in upgrading its buses and trains for a better service they can offer to its residents.

Weeks ago, they unveil the winner for the "Colour Your Buses" voting contest. Lush Green won (woooohoooo!) and they were scheduled to exhibit the new bus in three different locations and we waited them at VivoCity.

It made me smile just seeing the color "green" bus parked outside mall. My smile accelerated  into extensive delight when I stepped in to the new friendly giants of Singapore's roads. The seat and its cover, the 2 exits (for the second decker passengers), the usb port for phone charging, and the emergency breakable glass ate the new things you can find in that buses.

I can't wait to see those bus roaming around the Little Red Dot.

KKKL Bus - Melaka to Singapore

ABBEY: This is our bus for the return trip to Singapore. The same fare price with the bus we had going to Melaka at RM 19.

We left Melaka with only less than 10 people including the driver; meaning they stand on their departure and arrival times. Tips for travellers: be sure to wear jacket and you visit the loo before riding the bus.

WILL: While we were waiting for our late Mayang Sari Bus, we saw KKKL very early at their designated parking area waiting patiently to its commuter, then I decided to get a slot on our way home. Hitting the Melaka Sentral and after eating our breakfast, we directly went to their counter and bought 4 tickets for MYR19 each.
The time for departure is 5pm, just enough to roam Melaka.
450pm, the bus departs, ha! Too early isn't? As usual, we sleep, and it is like we were on on our own beds.
Just woke up, before we reach the Larkin Terminal. :) Recommendable!

Mayang Sari Malaysia

ABBEY: Upon arrival in Johor Bahru we don't know which bus liner to choose. We went to one of the counter and they said that the next schedule is at 10:30am. One lady caught shouting "KL-KL-KL" caught my ear. I asked the counter in Mayang Sari if they have a bus to Melaka earlier than 10am and replied they have. Once we got our ticket (RM 19 each), we waited for the bus. It arrived 20 minutes past the scheduled time.

We made an honest mistake on taking seats of other passengers as we were not aware of the seat plan :) We were seated at last row of the bus. The coldness of the air conditioner made us crawl to a fetal position to keep warm. Arriving at Melaka Sentral, we went to comfort rooms before anything else.

WILL: And then we were at Johor Bahru Malaysia. :) we bought a ticket to melaka at their ticketing counter, be early, their tix sells like a hotcake. But their bus departs late for almost 15mins from the scheduled time.
The bus? Very spacious and it seems the seats were bigger compared to the budget planes. The aircon? Damn cold!!! Our fault, we don't know that food was allowed to be consumed inside this bus, but in a brighter side, we just slept the full three hour ride.

Victory Liner Deluxe Bus to Baguio

ABBEY: We booked our tickets for our Baguio trip at this liner. One way ticket costs 750. The bus has comfy seats for the customers during the long ride. You can do also "number one and two" as it is equipped with a comfort room.

Added perks are the drink with biscuits. We didn't have the time to eat them; we're asleep most of the travel time. You can reach Baguio 4-5 hours one-way.

WILL:
I am quite hesitant to ride on this bus, why?, this is expensive. The air conditioned bus from Manila to Baguio is just Php445 whereas this deluxe bus is Php715.

The air conditioned one has 4 stops for the passengers can alight out of the bus and do some stretching and can go to the bus stops' toilet, this ride can take up to 6-7 hours.
While, the deluxe one has no stopovers and have its own toilet. The ride was awesome we reached Baguio 4 and half hours. The bus is so clean and comfortable, you can recline the chair and have its own footrest. The ticket comes with free biscuit and a drink. Steward is there to assist you. Lovely isn't? Its like you are in a plane. Oh by the way, their seat is bigger than budget planes' seats. ;)
Hooray for victory liner. Try this one, you'll never regret paying almost double. ;)
